Our Story
SkinBuddy began as a passion project rooted in both science and family. I’m Olga, founder of SkinBuddy, and here’s our story.
Back in 2008, I earned a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering. Later, as a mom of two, I started working from home as a UI designer - a natural step, as design has always been my passion.
Having acne-prone skin myself, I struggled to find solutions that truly worked. I learned that even products labeled "non-comedogenic" could harm sensitive skin. As my daughters grew up, I saw them experimenting with viral cosmetics from TikTok, and I realized how important it is to have a trustworthy source for skincare advice.
My husband, Denys, a Software Engineer with over 20 years of experience, was the perfect partner for bringing my idea to life. He joined me in creating an app to make skincare smarter. In April 2023, SkinBuddy was born.

My name is Tanya, and I’m the front-end developer of our team. My role is to craft the visual part of SkinBuddy, ensuring it’s both functional and beautiful. For me, development is more than a job; it’s like art. Just as an artist selects colors for their masterpiece, I choose the best tools and methods to create a harmonious and effective product.
SkinBuddy’s mission is personal to me. After experiencing skincare treatments that worsened my skin condition—like nitrogen burns and laser peels—I realized how important it is to prioritize ingredients over brands. Using SkinBuddy, I’ve seen how carefully selected products can improve skin health. I believe our service will help people avoid the mistakes I’ve faced and find solutions tailored to their needs.
